For the next year he regularly updated the community by writing about the design and production of the game — making it perhaps the first RPG ever whose creation was laid bare to the world in such an intimate way.Orkworld almost failed to appear, first because Wick was reportedly mailed a computer virus that destroyed any files with the word “ork” in them, and second due to multiple printer holdups. However, the book was released just in time at the 2000 Gen Con Game Fair as the first publication of Wicked Press, Wick’s new RPG publisher. »Pascal Martinollihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00977369920548683472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1925825755488902733.post-76164444617738917362020-08-07T21:18:51.115-04:002020-08-07T21:18:51.115-04:00Thank you for your input, I will add it to the mai...Thank you for your input, I will add it to the main post soon.Pascal Martinollihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00977369920548683472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1925825755488902733.post-3219437578546992122020-08-07T21:18:01.784-04:002020-08-07T21:18:01.784-04:00Thank you for your contribution, I will add it to ...Thank you for your contribution, I will add it to the main post soon.Pascal Martinollihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00977369920548683472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1925825755488902733.post-71380214122337015642020-08-02T19:18:31.897-04:002020-08-02T19:18:31.897-04:00Amarillo Design Bureau, makers of Star Fleet Battl...Amarillo Design Bureau, makers of Star Fleet Battles and releated games such as the Prime Directive RPG, fling C&Ds like frisbees. It was a very public exercise in game design, and shortly before publication he received a C&D from Games Workshop who claimed trademark over "Ork" with a "k". He had to assure them (I assume in writing) that it was a standalone book with no planned supplements and would not infringe on the market of their "orks."<br /><br />And if anybody has those articles archived, boy would I love to reread them!Steven Ellerdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10975317426009247521noreply@blogger.com
